Development and Validation of the Questionnaire for Adaptive Hyperactivity and Goal Achievement (AHGA)

Objective: This paper illustrates the preliminary psychometric properties of Questionnaire for Adaptive Hyperactivity and Goal Achievement (AHGA), aimed at measuring adaptive characteristics hyperactivity goal pursuit in older adults. Methods: The 12-item scale was administered to a sample 120 subjects (older adults) between February 2022 June 2022. reliability AHGA measured using Cronbach’s alpha, factor structure established parallel analysis (PA) principal component (PCA). Convergent validity tested against Biological Rhythms Interview Assessment Neuropsychiatry (BRIAN). Results: All included have an average age 74.1±5.1 years. good (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.713 [95%CI: 0.630 0.783]). Factor suggested two main components: achievement hyperactivity, which explained 41% variance data. results support convergent scale: measures pursuit, contrast BRIAN, pathological characteristics. Conclusion: reported findings represent innovative approach hyperthymic features by embracing broader spectrum concept that conceptualizes potential transition aspects as continuum.
